Off the strip, and maybe not in the nicest of areas of Vegas, it was clean and the staff friendly and helpful.
The Madre Gras is a little step back in time, to what I would think the 70s in Vegas was like. All in all, a decent stay and we’d stay here again The staff we interacted with were all friendly and helpful. We didn’t play in the small casino but did see that it didn’t offer much. The menu isn’t huge but it’s a small bar/restaurant so I thought it was sufficient with sandwiches, burgers, a few salads and a few other grill items. I had the street tacos and my husband had the patty melt and both were very good. We were there at happy hour which offered 1/2 price drinks. Kind of a maze! The rooms are older but seemed clean which is important to me. We parked on the north side right under our room but to get there we had to wind our way around and search for the elevator. But having said that, the price is right and there are no resort fees! The room was large with a kitchenette area that had plenty of counter space and a small refrigerator. It’s definitely an older hotel and could do with a facelift. We stayed here for one night prior to going to the airport in the morning.
