I called the front desk and they offered to give us a room with functioning A/C.
Upon our return several hours later, nothing had changed. They assured me that maintenance would work the problem. We also decided we would go get dinner and give them time. It was so hot, we called the front desk and told them of the problem.
Upon entering our room, we were greeted with temperatures above 80 degrees! Even though I turned down the A/C to 70 degrees, it was not pumping out any refrigerated air. We were greeted nicely and checked in with no wait. We arrived on a hot day but for any modern hotel, this should not be an issue for the rooms. Still, I would think twice before staying again. Admittedly, it IS a beautiful hotel and the front desk staff is always very pleasant.
